The Foundation's 5th Annual Pitch In for Education campaign is right around the corner. The Pitch In for Education campaign gives students in the system an opportunity to personally make a difference in their schools by raising funds for the Education Endowment.  Last year elementary students Pitched In over $47,000 for the Education Endowment.  It's easy to do-  start saving your change and when the campaign is in your school- Pitch In.  Special thanks to Dr. Mark Yanosky for sponsoring the campaign.

VHCSF Grant Application Due November 15th

Teachers- the Foundation's main purpose is to provide perpetual support to the Vestavia Hills Schools.  The Foundation Board of Directors wants to help you make an impact in your classroom.   Now is your opportunity to let the Foundation know what you need to continue to make the Vestavia schools the best in the state.  2013-2014 Grant applications are due  by November 15th.

Make A Difference - Join The Board

If you are passionate about education in Vestavia Hills then consider joining us.  The Vestavia Hills City Schools Foundation is seeking outstanding community volunteers and leaders to serve on its board of directors. This leadership group is a working board that exists to provide ongoing financial support to each Vestavia Hills school through the Foundation’s endowment and to protect and foster a standard of academic excellence in our school system.

Board members serve a three-year term as active ambassadors, fundraisers and leaders for the Foundation.

Join Us For Dinner & Diamonds

The 8th Annual Dinner & Diamonds benefiting the Vestavia Hills City Schools Foundation will be held at Ted’s Garage on Saturday, February 22, 2014. Last year this sold-out event drew more than 400 people. This year promises to be even bigger and better. 

Dinner & Diamonds is our flagship fundraiser. It provides an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of the Foundation, and funds the operating budget which ensures the Foundation has the resources it needs to keep working to support our schools and teachers. The excellence of Vestavia Hills schools continues to define our community. Your support is critical to our future success, and is deeply appreciated by the citizens of Vestavia Hills.

Flash Mob For The Foundation

On August 16th, kids from all eight Vestavia Hills school participated in a "Flash Mob for the Foundation."   The Flash Mob was held during the Chamber of Commerce's I Love America Day celebration.  Thanks to the leadership of 9th Grader Stephanie Tunnell, students danced their way to raising $3000 for the Foundation's education endowment.

Teachers Welcomed Back To School

On Monday, August 12th, Vestavia Hills High School was full of energy as the employees of the Vestavia Hills Schools District were welcomed back to school.  The Teacher Institute is  a great way to get the school year kicked off on the right foot.   Thanks to all the wonderful teacher and staff of the school system. We know we will have a fantastic school year!
